Awesome French town Tours

On Monday we set out to start hitch-hiking to Tours, a small French city located on the shores of river Loire.

Hitch-hiking to Tours was interesting. For the first time we were on the national highway, although we started on the speedway =P
To eventually get to Tours it took us a few cars, as we were dropped off in the towns that were on the way to there. But in the end we got there safely, sometime around 8 in the evening. Our host Raphaël picked us up from the Train station and we headed to his cozy apartment.

Once at his home we had spent some time just chatting away with Raphaël. Talking about our travels and his trip across Europe, specially Estonia. He seemed to have enjoyed his stay in Estonia, which was good to see. He offered us to have a taste of some french meal, which name I unfortunately can't remember, and local sparkling wine. It was a nice relaxing moment after a long day on the road.

On Tuesday Raphaël took us out to see a lovely small town nearby called Amboise. There was a pretty cool castle there, into which we didn't go into, but seeing it was still a nice experience. Also took a little walk along the river and through some interesting small side streets. Was just a lovely day in the sun. When we got back home we gave Raphaël a cooking experience, by letting him help us prepare the dinner =)

It was a great time that we spent in Tours, have to recommend visiting the area to everyone, as there is a lot to see.

When we set out to start hitch-hiking to Bordeaux Raphaël actually offered to drop us off at our starting point, which was very generous of him =)
